HPAY: pay or request WQI

WQI is the reviewed ERC-20 token on Quai's account ledger, not native Qi. HPAY transfers it directly to a recipient who accepts it. You also need QUAI for network gas. There is no WQI dollar quote or peg, wrapping, unwrapping, swap, token approval or automatic utility-biller payment in this flow.

#Send WQI

1. Open HPAY, choose Send to @name, and enter the recipient's handle or Cyprus-1 Quai address. Review the full resolved address.
2. In Payment asset, choose WQI. It becomes available only when the pinned deployment and token metadata pass the page's check. If the read fails, use Check WQI availability again after your connection recovers.
3. Enter the exact amount, up to 18 decimals, and press Review send. Connect your wallet on Quai Mainnet.
4. Check the WQI identity, exact amount, recipient, token balance and separate QUAI gas reserve. Approve the direct transfer in your own wallet only after those checks pass.
5. A returned transaction hash means submitted, not paid. Follow the original transaction until its node-checked receipt and confirmation requirement are satisfied. For an unknown result, keep the hold and use Check original payment; do not make another payment just because the screen is uncertain.

#Request WQI

Connect your wallet on Your link, choose WQI under Payment asset for your receive link, and optionally open Request an amount. The link and QR work with your address whether or not you have a handle. Alternatively, use Create a link, choose WQI, enter a recipient and exact amount, and press Create link.

WQI links carry Request v2, the pinned token and a WQI: recipient marker. An old v1-only reader must refuse that link. Never remove the marker or token fields to make it open as QUAI. Check the recipient accepts WQI before sharing, and keep private information out of the link's memo or reference.

#Shop or split a bill

The shop Price currency and split Bill currency selectors offer Exact WQI. The shop uses Create WQI request; the split uses Create exact WQI requests. Their previews show the actual requested amounts, including tiny matching adjustments used to distinguish requests. These are not service fees. Each payer needs separate QUAI for gas, and a note or bill reference does not prove an external bill was paid.
