Guide: receive QUAI

This guide is for anyone who wants to be paid in QUAI. HartiiLabs can show your wallet address in large type, with a Copy address button and a QR code. If your wallet has a Hartii @handle, it also gives you a short payment link. Nothing is signed or sent while you look at it, and you cannot lose funds by opening the page.

#What you need

• A Quai wallet: Pelagus on a computer or Blip on a phone, set to Quai Network.
• A Quai-ledger account on the Cyprus-1 zone. Its address starts with 0x00.
• Optional: a Hartii @handle, claimed on the Profile page, for the payment link.

#Four ways to open Receive

All four show the same thing:

1. Wallet menu. Connect your wallet, click your address at the top right, then press Receive.
2. Portfolio. Press Portfolio in the left menu, then the Receive button next to your wallet.
3. Left menu. Press More, then under You choose Receive.
4. A page of its own. Open hartiilabs.com/receive, titled Receive QUAI. It is a good link to bookmark. The first three open a small sheet instead, which has an Open as a page link at the bottom.

#Steps

1. Open Receive any of the ways above.
2. If you are not connected, the sheet says Connect a wallet to see your address. Press Connect wallet and approve in your wallet. Connecting only reads your address.
3. Under Your Quai address you see your full address in groups of six characters. The first four characters, 0x00, mark Cyprus-1, the zone Hartii uses.
4. Press Copy address. The button says Copied for two seconds. Paste it into a message, or read it out to the sender.
5. Or let the sender scan the QR code with their Quai wallet. The code holds exactly your address and nothing else.
6. Read the note Check before you send: only QUAI and Quai-ledger tokens on Quai Cyprus-1 can be received here. Tell the sender the same.

#Your payment link (with an @handle)

If your wallet has a Hartii handle, a section below the address shows Your handle and a link such as https://hartiibiome.com/hpay?to=@yourname. That opens HPAY, Hartii's payment page, with you as the recipient.

1. Optional: type a number under Request an amount (optional), for example 2.5. The unit is QUAI. Use a plain positive number. The link then also carries the amount.
2. Press Copy link to copy it, or Share to open your device's share sheet. Where sharing is not available, Share copies the link instead.

The payer still checks the recipient and the amount in their own wallet before confirming. See HPAY: send to an @name for what they see, and HPAY: create a payment link for the other ways to make a link.

No handle yet? The sheet says No Hartii @handle yet with a link to claim one on Profile. Your plain address works without it.

#What you will see when something is off

• Your wallet is on another network. Switch your wallet to Quai Cyprus-1 (Quai Network), then connect again. The address is never shown while the network is wrong.
• This address cannot receive here. Your wallet's current account is a Qi-ledger address, or it is not on Cyprus-1. Funds sent there would not arrive. Switch your wallet to a Quai account on Cyprus-1. The page never shows an address it has not checked.
• Could not copy automatically. Your browser blocked the clipboard. Select the address or link on screen and copy it by hand.

#Good to know

• Receive shows only the wallet you have connected. To receive on another account, switch accounts in your wallet and reconnect.
• A payment that looks missing: look up your address on quaiscan.io and read the transactions there before asking the sender to pay again.
